On 30th January, SSVM Mettupalayam hosted RusFest 2026, a vibrant cultural celebration that brought the essence of Russia to campus through the expressive mediums of dance and storytelling. The programme was conducted in **two special sessions—fore-noon and afternoon—**enabling a wider audience of students and faculty to experience this enriching cultural exchange.
Over the years, the Russian Cultural Team has played an important role in nurturing global awareness and cultural sensitivity among students. The 2026 edition was especially distinctive, featuring a largely new group of performers who presented a fresh theme marked by youthful enthusiasm, creative expression, and a broadened international perspective.
The event unfolded as a captivating cultural journey—opening with the lively rhythms of Kalinka, moving through the graceful narrative of Young Mlada, the elegance of classical ballet, and the passionate energy of Flamenco – Farruca, before culminating in a powerful and unifying finale titled RUSSIA. Each performance beautifully embodied values of discipline, harmony, and international friendship, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
